“Once a year, go somewhere, you have never been before”
Travel is not a reward for working, it’s education for living.
Some maysay that one could read or watch movies on the accounts of churches and monasteries, castles and fortifications, antiques and ruins as well as libraries and colleges etc. and other important places of the world instead of wasting time and money on visiting them personally. But they forget that the touch of living and breathing reality can sensitise a person much more than mere reading or watching movies as this is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
Some may ask ‘HOW?’
I have a few points to answer this ’HOW’
- Travelling with Others will help us build relationships through new experiences.
- Travelling opens up our world by experiencing other cultures.
- Travelling teaches us to appreciate ourselves. It really transforms us to a new human being.
- There is a chance of learning a new language while travelling.
- It gives us the opportunity to be adventurous and makes us feel like ‘sweet sixteen’, brave and stylish. We come out of our comfort zone, ignore the caution of wind and learn to manage within limited resource.
- For a year full of work, traffic, tensions…. travel is like a fresh dose of much needed oxygen! It’s like food for the soul.
- Last, but not the least, the vast vista of nature makes us modest, it shows us what a tiny place we occupy in the world.
For me, travelling is an enthralling education. It offers stimulant to my intellect, soul and body. It turns me into a storyteller. The beautiful colours of nature, culture, fashion, food, language, photography, weather pattern, history, geography everything of those far flung places become the tea table stories to share with all our family members and to be thrilled with.
So, I feel ‘TRAVELLING’ has a lifelong impact on our life….whatsoever the reason may be, of your travelling.
I am grateful to the ‘ALMIGHTY’ that ‘HE’ has given me reasons to travel across many parts of the country from my very young age and I can feel today how those experiences have contributed to build ‘ME’ into an ‘INDIVIDUAL’ that I am.
So, never get so busy making a living that you forget to make ‘A life’
And you must agree with me that ‘Of all the books in the world, the best stories are between the pages of a passport’.
So, wish you all ‘HAPPY TRAVELLING…….. ‘
