To mark the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Dandi March was carried out in Birla Public School, Kishangarh, on 2 October. The programme gave an authentic and emotive feel to the event which was Gandhi’s non-violent protest against the British monopoly on salt production. After Dandi March, the favourite Bhajan of Mahatma Gandhi, ‘Vaishno Vachan’, was sung by BPSK students and reminded everyone of the essential religion of the world, i.e. humanity. On this occasion, teachers delivered speeches on the significance of the day and Gandhiji’s principles. The programme reached its culmination with the address of the Principal who elucidated the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and recommended everyone to read the autobiographical book, “The Story of My Experiments with Truth”.
