Some people achieve extra-ordinary success in life; others don’t. The difference between the two groups lies in accountability. Five accountabilities must be imbibed as a personality attributes for personal as well as organizational growth.
DOING RIGHT THINGS: –
- Be accountable for doing right things. This means ethical execution of the activities that will actually support the goals you have chosen for yourself.
- You should be accountable for understanding and identifying your strategic plan and the activities that support personal as well as institutional growth.
- Transparency from top to bottom generate confidence and trust.
MANAGING YOUR SPACE: –
- You are accountable for creating space for new ideas, initiatives and projects.
- Off-course it is risk but most of the successful people take initiatives.
MANAGING THE PROCESS: –
- Once you have taken initiatives now it is up to you to manage the process required for achieving that goal you have ponder upon.
- You will come across so many obstacles, you will encounter adversities and setbacks also but with confidence, transparency, honesty, dedication and devotion you have to march ahead.
- Even after many failures you redefine your space and process.
ESTABLISHING THE RIGHT EXPECTATIONS: –
- Set right expectations, that can be achieved.
- Expectations should be properly benchmarked.
- Expectations reflect your values; it should not be too high or too low. It should be in ideal zone where the goal can be stretched in healthy manner.
MANAGING THE RELATIONSHIPS: –
- Be accountable for your relationships.
- The human touch in any relationship act as lubricant that’s makes communication possible and empowers individuals, groups and organizations to accomplish great things.
- Without accountability for supporting and contributing to the relationships, there can be no true leadership and no effective implementation, at the group or organizational level.
